One year ago, the Holly Fishing Pier opened to the community โ and since then, itโs become so much more than a place to fish. Itโs become a gathering space for learning, celebration, art, and connection.
Over the past year, the pier has been home to some incredible moments:
๐ฃ In July, the next generation of anglers cast their lines during a community fishing derby with the Mendez Recreation Center.
โ๏ธ In December, families gathered along the waterfront to celebrate the season at Santa on the Trail.
๐จ In March, the site welcomed artist T.J. Lemanskiโs 2026 TEMPO on the Trail installation, Cenotaphs.
๐ชป And this May, the first wildflowers of the season bloomed nearby โ a reminder that this space continues to grow alongside the community.
Hereโs to one year of memories at the Holly Fishing Pier, and many more to come.
