And right now, more than 30 families and 6 youth across Austin and Central Texas are waiting for support.

The truth is, changing the foster care experience doesn’t happen through one big moment. It happens through ordinary people saying yes to showing up consistently.

One of our Case Managers recently shared a story that captures the power of consistent relationships.

A volunteer shared that she and her fiancé chose to move homes so they could live closer to the family they support through Austin Angels.

Because spending time with them had become her favorite part of the month.

A child’s purpose is to play, imagine, explore, and dream.

For children and youth who experience foster care, those moments of joy, connection, and belonging matter more than ever.

Whether it’s swinging high on the playground, chasing bubbles, or laughing with a mentor, these moments help build confidence, resilience, and hope.

Through Austin Angels and our National Angels network, we help create opportunities for children and youth who experience foster care to simply be kids while surrounded by consistent support and meaningful relationships.

Today, we celebrate every child and the incredible families, mentors, and volunteers who show up with love and consistency to help them thrive.🫶
