Dear AABJ Members,

Please be mindful if you want to vote in the 2025 AABJ Board Election you will need to pay your membership by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7. Per the AABJ Bylaws only Full and Associate AABJ members can vote in the election. The election will take place on Saturday, Nov. 8 from noon - 5 p.m. Please monitor your email for information on how to cast your vote digitally.

Full AABJ membership defined:
(a) Full Membership
Full Membership shall be available to:
(1) writers, reporters, editors, producers, videographers, photographers,
columnists, Technical Producers, and artists employed by any newspaper, television station, radio station, magazine, wire service or digital media
platforms; (2) freelance writers, reporters, editors, photographers, columnists, or
artists who earn a majority of their income from said freelance activity;
(3) Public relations persons who work in the media, and other
communications-related professions.
(4) any person who is otherwise eligible for Full Membership under
parts (1) (2) and (3) of this subsection who is on a leave of absence from his or her employment or freelance activity to attend a fellowship program; and
(5) any other persons holding active Full Membership in AABJ on the
date of adoption of these By-Laws until such time as said Full Membership is terminated by failing to pay dues or as otherwise set forth herein. Full Members shall be entitled to full privileges of membership, including the right to vote, hold office, chair committees, or to serve on the Board of Directors.

Associate Membership defined:
(b) Associate Membership. Associate Membership shall be available to:
(1) journalists employed in an academic field such as, but not limited to, high school or college journalism teachers and professors; and
(2) media sales personnel, graduate students and Emerging Journalists. Associate Members are allowed to vote, and to serve on and chair committees. Associate Members may not hold any elected office other than Secretary, Parliamentarian or Treasurer.

Fulton County Government is proud to present Fulton Films RED CARPET Virtual Film Fair on Thursday, October 21, 2021.

As a Department of Fulton County External Affairs, the Fulton Films Office understands the importance of developing strong pipelines of creative, young talent in the production industry.

Therefore, Fulton Films is inviting top-tier, motivated students to participate in training workshops; industry panels; as well as engage in post-fair opportunities to work with film and television professionals.

We are seeking college students interested in the movie and television fields to attend our virtual film panels on Thursday, October 21st (10am – 5:00pm).

Panel discussions will include filmmaking, project pitching, behind the scenes career opportunities, set design/costume design, the film process and so much more!
