✨ Member Spotlight: Tim Brewer✨

Tim Brewer is Community Outreach Coordinator at Fleet Feet, with six years in the industry. A new IABC Atlanta member in 2026, his primary communications focus has been internal communications — and he currently serves as VP of Finance for IABC Atlanta.

What energizes him most? Seeing immediate, tangible results from his communications work and applying strategy in ways that directly influence behavior.
Tim is watching a growing industry challenge: creating content without strategy. While generative AI has made it easier than ever to produce messaging, he believes that without clear audience focus and intent, it’s just noise. He’s also seeing a resurgence in demand for strong writers — proof that thoughtful, strategic communication still outperforms automation.

His unpopular comms opinion? Intranets might be overrated.

Swipe to learn more about Tim’s perspective on strategy, writing and why showing up to IABC events matters.

✨ Member Spotlight: Kristina Gross✨

Kristina Gross is Senior Director, Executive and External Communications at TrueBlue, with 26 years in the industry. An IABC Atlanta member since 2022, her primary focus is executive communications.

She serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, shaping enterprise narrative, positioning and thought leadership while protecting brand reputation. What energizes her most is translating strategy into clear, compelling storytelling and equipping leaders to communicate with confidence and authenticity.

Kristina is closely watching the collision of advancing technology and a culture that expects instant response — reminding leaders that speed should never come at the expense of credibility and trust. Over the past year, adaptability and resilience have been critical in helping teams stay grounded as the environment shifts.

Her communications superpower? Staying calm in the center of the storm — keeping perspective and reminding teams that it’s PR, not ER.

Swipe to learn more about Kristina’s perspective on curiosity, leadership and community.

We asked our Prompt Responsibly event participants to weigh in on uncertainty in AI communications and how their organizations are currently approaching AI.

The results? There's a lot of conversation and a lot of room for communicators to grow in this space. Hearing from our members about topics that we all face is one way that IABC gives back to our local communicators' community.

Thanks again to all who participated!

April brings us back together for a bright, easy morning meetup -- relaxed conversation, good coffee, and a gentle start to the day.

Our Monthly Social is open to communicators who want to step away from screens, silos and packed calendars to reconnect face-to-face. There’s something about a morning like this that reminds us why community matters.

We’ll cover your first drink — just grab a coffee, settle in, and ease into the day.
Come as you are. Stay as long as you like.
