Happy National Coaches Day! ⚽

Coaches do more than teach the game. They show up, lead by example, and help us see possibilities that we may not see within ourselves. Thank you for the passion, dedication, and heart you bring to the field every day.

Our players showed up ready to play, support one another, and kick off the season together.
Big thanks to all the families who came out to cheer, as well to our staff for being there every step of the way. We’re just getting started. Here’s to a great season ahead!

Meet our player spotlight us the month, Jack!

For the past 6 years, Jack has been growing with Soccer in the Streets. Now 10 years old, he plays center defensive midfield and continues to grow in the game. He looks up to Ronaldinho Gaucho, and cheers for the Colombian National Team. 🇨🇴

Favorite memory: “When we scored 9 goals and got cupcakes at the end of the season! Or maybe when I empowered someone to take the penalty.” — Jack

Jack’s soccer journey is taking him all the way to Germany. This summer, he was chosen one of 15 athletes to train with the Stuttgart team.

Congratulate him on this incredible accomplishment in the comments! Keep it going!!

This September, our word of the month is Empowerment! 💪

Empowerment is the process of helping someone gain the confidence and support to take control of their own growth and make a positive impact. At Soccer in the Streets, we use the power of soccer to help young people build confidence and discover their strengths. We encourage them to take on challenges and believe in what they can achieve. Because when you empower someone, you give them more than an opportunity. You help them see what’s possible.

Who is someone who has empowered you? Tag them below!

I love supporting Soccer In The Streets! It’s an Atlanta based nonprofit that provides free soccer to inner city youth. They have built numerous small sided soccer pitches at our MARTA stations throughout the city.

Beyond providing these wonderful opportunities for kids to play in a safe environment, they also hire coaches and referees. Additionally, their staff goes out to the community and teaches wonderful life skills through soccer, such as teamwork, nutrition, communication, and even dealing with grief and adversity. I love these people with all my heart.

If you’re based in and you are involved in the Soccer community, you should consider spending time at Soccer in the Streets

Our youth referees are trained up and ready to go for the Fall season!

At Soccer in the Streets, we invest in youth by not only providing them with access to play, but also access to job opportunities. By providing our referees with the tools, knowledge, and support they need, we're helping create an impactful space for each player. And a huge thank you to David Gerson of Refs Need Love for helping to train our refs!
