The Greater Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. kicked off the 2026–2027 programming year with an energizing TEAM GMAC Programming Retreat centered on collaboration, creativity, fellowship, and our shared commitment to creating meaningful experiences for our children and families.

A special thank you to our incredible programming leadership, Program Director Wheda Carletos and Assistant Program Directors Bianca Abrams and Tia Alvarez Stith and the Programming Committee for leading a thoughtful and engaging retreat that brought our mothers together to plan, connect, and prepare for an outstanding year ahead. 👏🏾

Throughout the day, we built stronger teams, shared fresh ideas, planned impactful programming, and celebrated the season ahead. Most importantly, we were reminded that our greatest impact happens when we work together with intention and keep our children at the center of everything we do.

The Greater Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is proud to shine a light on the incredible work of our Mothers Away From Home (GMAAG) program — supporting our Associates as they navigate college life away from home!

We're celebrating:

🎓 Lauren Forney — Spelman College graduate, daughter of Lisa Forney, a Mom/Associate from the Katy Chapter of Jack and Jill and an HBCU alum of Prairie View A&M University.

While away at Spelman, Lauren was supported by her Mom Away From Home, GMAC Associate Teresa Dallas-Willis.

Our Mothers Away From Home program is proudly led by the Southeastern Regional Associates Chair Belinda Stanley Majors, who is also an Associate GMAC Mom and Chair of our Greater Metropolitan Atlanta Associates Group.

Our Greater Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter teens brought their A-game to the 70th Southeastern Region Teen Conference in Ft. Lauderdale, themed "Black to the Future: Powered by Legacy, Driven by Future."

🌟 Under the dynamic leadership of the Regional Executive Board, the Regional Teen Officers, and the phenomenal host chapter, our graduating seniors enjoyed a yacht excursion and an unforgettable evening celebrating excellence, leadership, and lifelong friendships at the Southeastern Region Teen Conference Senior Gala. Wishing our seniors continued success in this next chapter!

At the Breakfast of Champions, alongside Immediate Past President Darlene McGhee Whittington, our Greater Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter teens were celebrated for bringing their A-game to the 70th Southeastern Region Teen Conference in Ft. Lauderdale, themed "Black to the Future: Powered by Legacy, Driven by Future." They competed with heart, talent, and determination — and it showed. Huge congratulations to all of our winners:

🥉 Lynden Magee — 3rd Place, Outstanding Female Athlete, Division I. Lynden brought her competitive spirit and left it all on the field. Congratulations!

🏓 Peyton Douglas — PickleBall Champion at Sports and Games Day! Peyton dominated the court and came out on top. What a win!

🎨 Kennedy Carletos — BEST IN CLASS, Outstanding Visual Artist Division! Kennedy's talent and creativity earned the top honor in the entire division. Simply outstanding!

🥈 Adyn Honoré — 2nd Place, Outstanding Leadership, Division I. Adyn's dedication and leadership skills continue to shine bright.

💼 Kendall Drayton — Teen Mogul Winner! Kendall's entrepreneurial spirit and business savvy earned top honors. Future CEO in the making!

This summer, the Greater Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter of Jack and Jill headed to Ft. Lauderdale for the 70th Southeastern Region Teen Conference, themed "Black to the Future: Powered by Legacy, Driven by Future." The conference was packed with great plenary sessions, community service, sports, and fun themed parties, a step show all while our chapter brought home several individual awards.
