The program is designed to help high-risk youth identify their personal strengths and take control of the thoughts and feelings that drive their high-risk behavior. An 8-module program, Power Source at the Street Smart program offers a variety of interactive exercises, including discussion topics, role-plays, vignettes, reflective written exercises, meditations, and guided visualizations. Our new
internship program was created specifically to defy the lack of opportunities that some of our older youth have encountered. We have opened doors for them and systematically created an experiential opportunity to enhance their work ethic, learn about finances, and develop a skill. This opportunity is also associated with an emphasis on continuing education, as enrollment in an academic program is a pre-requisite for the internship.
