As September comes to a close, we are reflecting on a month filled with meaning. 🩵💙

We honored Qwess. We shared the meaning behind 23 FOR 23 with our community. Our family came together to help with our September distribution. And we continued the work of supporting families caring for children with significant and complex disabilities.

Thank you for being part of this work and part of this legacy.

September may be coming to an end, but the work continues.

It represents the life behind this mission and the reason this work is so personal to our family.

Qwess’s journey taught us what significant caregiving can look like behind closed doors. It taught us about the everyday items families depend on, the responsibilities caregivers carry and how meaningful it can be when someone understands.

That experience continues to shape the work of Out of the Blue: Life Happens.

Appointments. Lifting. Cleaning. Organizing. Advocating. Sleepless nights. Constant responsibility.

At Out of the Blue: Life Happens, we believe that helping with everyday care items can ease at least one part of that weight.

And sometimes, one less burden matters more than people know. 🩵💙

It is support. It is dignity. It is relief. It is one less thing for a caregiver to worry about.

The items we provide may be practical, but the impact reaches much further. When a family feels seen and supported, that matters too.

Thank you to everyone who shared our posts, supported our mission and helped us reach families who needed us.

Most importantly, thank you to the families who trusted Out of the Blue: Life Happens enough to allow us to support you.

Having our family here with us this week made this distribution even more meaningful. What started with our family’s experience caring for Qwess continues through the families we are honored to serve.

We see these families. We understand these families. We are here for these families.

And we will continue doing the work. 🩵💙

Our goal has never been to pretend that one distribution solves every challenge a family faces.

Our goal is much simpler: ease one piece of the load.

This is the part of the month where the planning, preparation and support turn into something tangible for families.

This week, Out of the Blue: Life Happens will be distributing essential care supplies to families caring for children with significant and complex disabilities.

Diapers. Wipes. Chucks. Other everyday care essentials.

They may look like simple supplies, but for the families who use them every day, they matter.

This week is especially meaningful because our family will be joining us as we prepare packages and make distributions in Qwess’s honor. 🩵💙

Yesterday we celebrated Qwess’s 23rd birthday surrounded by love, memories and purpose. 🩵💙

Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us, shared our mission or simply took the time to remember Qwess with our family.

Out of the Blue: Life Happens did not begin with an idea on paper. It began with a life.

Caring for Qwess showed us the things families carrying significant daily care responsibilities often need, the things people may never see from the outside, and how meaningful it can be when someone simply helps ease one part of the load.

Tomorrow we celebrate him, remember him and continue the work his life inspired.
