First Senior Center of Georgia Empowering Vietnamese and minority seniors through accessible and appropriate cultural and language health and social services.

We, as a non-profit organization, are dedicated to providing free services to the Vietnamese elderly community in Atlanta and the surrounding areas. We are acutely aware that they are vulnerable individuals who face numerous challenges and hardships while living in the United States. They find themselves caught between two cultures and struggle with language barriers, limited education, and the difficulties of adapting to a modern environment.

💙 First Senior Center of Georgia is looking for volunteers to support our Food Pantry Program.

No experience is required—just bring your willingness to help.

✨ As a volunteer, you will:

Help provide food to local families and seniors.

Sort donated food.
Organize the pantry.

🌟Last Friday evening, on July 10th, 2026 Ms. Von Tran, CEO of First Senior Center, was proudly honored as one of the "25 Most Influential Asian American Pacific Islanders in Georgia for 2026" by the Asian Times

This marks the second time Ms. Von Tran has received the G*T 25 Award—a prestigious recognition dedicated to individuals creating groundbreaking changes for the overall development of our community.

✨This year’s award comes at a truly meaningful time, marking the 9-year milestone of dedicated service by the First Senior Center family. For nearly a decade, Ms. Von Tran has pioneered a "gold standard" in comprehensive care services for Vietnamese seniors and the broader AAPI community.

🌿From lives overshadowed by isolation, language barriers, and the pain of loss, thousands of seniors have found a "second home" here. They have stepped into the light, rediscovered their smiles, and are enjoying their golden years to the fullest in a healthcare environment perfectly blended with Asian cultural identity.

Every other Tuesday morning, long before the distribution begins, seniors and caregivers start arriving at First Senior Center of Georgia.

Some come with shopping carts. Some bring folding bags. Many greet each other by name.

For many of them, Food Pantry Day has become more than a day to pick up groceries. It is a chance to see familiar faces, share stories, and know that they are part of a community that cares.

As food prices continue to rise, many seniors living on fixed incomes face difficult choices every month. A trip to the grocery store often means stretching every dollar and making sacrifices along the way.

That's why every other Tuesday, volunteers, staff, and community partners come together to help ensure that seniors and caregivers have access to fresh produce, nutritious food, and essential household items.

What happens here is about more than food.

It's about helping a senior maintain their independence.

It's about helping a caregiver worry a little less.

It's about making sure no one feels forgotten.

Each bag distributed represents a community coming together to support one another with dignity, compassion, and respect.

At First Senior Center of Georgia, we believe everyone deserves access to nutritious food and the opportunity to age with dignity.
