Today, we’re celebrating a victory made possible by the power of community.

After countless efforts of organizing, education, and advocacy, Georgia Republican senators have agreed not to move forward with redrawing district maps at this time on the first day of special session.

This outcome reflects the work of hundreds of community members and countless nonprofit organizations who came together to oppose a proposal that threatened fair representation for communities of color.

This is solidarity in action - our collective strength is greater than any attempt to divide us ✊🏾✊🏿✊🏼
