You are invited to participate! We are hoping this will be a fun project for our riding community!

GDCTA is launching something brand‑new, a little experimental, and completely powered by you.

We’re creating a member‑driven fiction eBook—a collaborative storytelling project shaped by the ideas, imagination, and lived horse‑world experience of our community. Instead of one author… we’re writing it together.

What Build It Together Is

A multi‑chapter equestrian novel set in the world of dressage and eventing, where GDCTA members help decide the tone, characters, plot twists, horses, rivalries, settings, and big emotional moments. Each chapter will be written with the help of AI, guided by your submissions.

As chapters are completed, they’ll appear in Collected Remarks so you can follow the story’s evolution—and keep steering it.

How You Can Shape the Story

We’re gathering member input on everything that makes a great equestrian tale come alive:

Genre & tone — heartfelt, dramatic, mysterious, romantic, funny… you choose
Plot twists — the big moments that keep readers hooked
Characters — riders, trainers, juniors, pros, underdogs, and barn personalities
Horse partners — breeds, quirks, talents, and challenges
Settings — barns, showgrounds, regions, atmospheres
Relationships — rivalries, friendships, mentorships, romances
Training arcs — setbacks, breakthroughs, and big wins
Scenes — the vivid moments you want to see on the page
Every submission helps shape the next chapter.

Breaking up with a trainer can feel like breaking up with a close friend. Sometimes, it even means saying goodbye to someone you’ve come to love like family—someone you’ve told things to before you told anyone else.

I remember sitting down at the kitchen table to write the email saying that we were leaving the barn. I knew if I picked up the phone, I would fall to pieces.  The house was quiet, the glow of my laptop the only light. The cursor blinked back at me while I tried to find […]
