Bravo, bravo, bravo Cobb Summer Singers on a beautifully performed and moving concert on Sunday afternoon!

We are so thankful for our new music director, James Cordell, stepping forward to lead our group this summer. We had a blast with the music and program that you designed full of American music patriotism and honor for our veterans and active military citizens!

Thanks to Acworth UMC staff, especially Rev. Whiton and David Starns, the music director, for hosting all our rehearsals and the performance in your beautiful worship space.

Thank you to all the wonderfully talented collaborative instrumentalists, Ivy, Zachary and Matthew! We loved working with you all! And, the soloists... oh my... Thom Dixon, Wayne Jones, Mary Anne Valenti, and Laura Hotchkiss... ya'll are amazing.

And, we can't forget to thank all of our ticket table helpers, ushers and especially Sue for taking such good care with our audience. And, thanks also to Karen Cordell and her daughter Kari Fortenberry for taking such beautiful photos to record the day!

Next year can't get here soon enough, so we can all sing together again. Watch the William Baker Choral Foundation website (getting a much needed overhaul this year) for updates on next year's program theme and please follow the New South Festival Singers - Atlanta, GA during the fall/winter/spring seasons while you are waiting for Cobb Summer Singers to ramp up again. See ya in 2027!

It's Concert WEEK, can you hear America Singing??

Please plan to join us on Sunday, August 23 at 4:00 pm in the Acworth United Methodist Church (4030 Collins Circle) for a concert of Patriotic Songs, Spirituals and gospels from the American experience. The choir is sounding great and we are very excited to sing for YOU!

The group is thrilled with our new director, James Cordell, and are having sooooo much fun with this collection of songs as we continue to celebrate the 250th birthday of America! It is such a privilege to live in the USA and celebrate our patriotism with this wonderful music.
