Today, R2ISE was honored to stand alongside advocates, families, leaders, and young people at Children Mental Health Day at the Capitol💚
Thank you to Georgia Parent Support Network, Inc. for creating such a beautiful and meaningful space to advocate for our children and their futures. As Whitney Houston sang, “I believe the children are our future.” Those words still ring true today.
The work Georgia DBHDDne across Georgia to protect our children, uplift their voices, and ensure their mental health and well-being are prioritized is vital. Healthy children help build healthy families, healthy communities, and a healthier state.
Special thank you to Sue Smith for your wisdom, leadership, and continued commitment to children and families. Thank you as well to Commissioner Kevin Tanner for the work you continue to do to help make Georgia a healthier and more well state for all.
We are grateful that R2ISE had the opportunity to advocate, demonstrate, and illustrate through the arts the power of recovery, healing, and connection. Art gives voice to emotions that are often difficult to express, and we believe creativity can help children and families feel seen, heard, supported, and empowered.
Art + Recovery = Freedom.
