Our favorite kind of post: an adoption announcement! 🥹❤️

Copper has been settling into his forever home for a little while now, and we couldn’t be happier with how his story unfolded.

From a tiny puppy living under an old car in the woods, trying to survive alongside his siblings, to being rescued by Donna H Fox and her family, and now growing up surrounded by love. 🐾

His family found out about him through our social media and reached out. During our phone call, everything lined up beautifully. A transport volunteer was already heading to Donna’s that same day to bring another puppy to Atlanta, so we offered to bring Copper along if they were ready.

They wanted a little time to consider it. A few hours later, we received a text: they couldn’t stop thinking about him and were ready to move forward. ❤️

Once they met him, they fell completely in love. Copper went home with them, and the rest is history! He’s now living his best life, being spoiled and growing into such a sweet, adorable boy.

This is what our Best Chance Program is all about: giving dogs a chance to grow, thrive, and find families who are committed to their future.

Thank you to Donna and her family, our transport volunteer, and Copper’s adopters for making this happy ending possible. Happy forever, Copper! 🏡❤️

Meet little Abby 🐾💛

Abby is a 3 month old Labrador Retriever mix and truly the sweetest little girl. She LOVES other dogs, is always excited to meet new people, and has such a happy, social personality.

She’s already doing great with house training and is looking for a family who understands that puppies still need time, consistency, patience, and continued training as they grow. As part of our program, Abby’s future family will have access to training support to help set her up for success.

Abby is fully vetted for her age, and when she is old enough, the Ozzie Albies Foundation will cover her spay.

Best of all, her adoption fee is WAIVED. 💛

How is Madi Peeps still waiting for her forever home? 🥹 We haven’t received a single application for this sweet girl, and we can’t wait for someone to see how special she is.

Madi loves her kitty foster sibling and gets along beautifully with other dogs. She’s a little shy when she first meets someone, but she blossoms in a calm home. We think she’d do best with older kids and would love a home with another animal companion. 🐾

Madi is fully vetted, spayed, and ready for her family. Her adoption fee is waived!

Look who won Ozzie’s Players’ Weekend cleats! 🥹⚾️🐾

Rusty’s mom Katie Aspin placed the winning bid, and all proceeds from the auction will benefit the Ozzie Albies Foundation, making this full-circle moment even more meaningful.

For those who don’t know Rusty, he was one of our very first Best Chance pups. He spent nearly 2 years being fostered by the Albies family before finding the incredible forever family he had been waiting for.

Rusty’s journey is a true testament to the Best Chance Program. His family saw the special dog others had overlooked and gave him the patience, structure, commitment, and unconditional love he needed to thrive. They trusted our guidance, remained dedicated to his training, and never gave up on him.

We call families like theirs “unicorn adopters” because they open their hearts to the dogs who may need a little more time and support, but are every bit as deserving of a beautiful life.

Because of Rusty and the lessons his journey taught us, we’ve been able to help so many other dogs just like him. Seeing him deeply loved by such an extraordinary family is everything we could have hoped for, and knowing their winning bid will help us give more overlooked dogs their own Best Chance makes this moment even sweeter. 💙

Meet Abby, Andie and her three little amigos: Lucky, Dusty & Ned. 🤎

Andie was found wandering the streets with another puppy, Abby. Abby looked nothing like her, but one thing was clear, Andie had either recently given birth or was still pregnant.

Donna immediately took both girls to Vidalia Veterinary Clinic to make sure they were safe and healthy. They confirmed Andie was not pregnant so that meant her puppies were out there somewhere. So Donna went looking for them.

And somehow, she found them.

3 TINY newborn boys, only a few days old, completely helpless and somehow still alive. They weren’t doing well, and we truly believe that if another day had passed, they may not have survived.

Donna rushed Lucky, Dusty and Ned to the vet. Two of the boys were able to stay with their mama, while Donna took the weakest little one home with her. She is bottle-feeding him, keeping him warm, and giving him around-the-clock care to give him every possible chance.

Stories like this leave us in awe every single time. Somehow, these dogs continue to find their way into Donna’s life, and every single time, she steps up without hesitation. She goes above and beyond for animals who otherwise may have had no one.

We are incredibly grateful that the Ozzie Albies Foundation can stand behind her and help support the dogs she saves.

Once these babies are old enough to safely leave their mama, we want to transport Andie and the puppies to Atlanta, but as a foster-based rescue, we can only bring them into our program when we have foster homes available.

We provide our fosters with everything they need, including supplies, veterinary care, training support and guidance from our team.

And when they’re ready for their forever homes, their adoption fees will be WAIVED and they’ll receive the full support of our Best Chance Program.

Unfortunately, due to inclement weather, today’s Chewy Vet Care Summer Social has been canceled. 💔

We were really looking forward to spending the day with you, meeting your pups, and bringing our Ozzie Albies Foundation community together.

Chewy Vet Care put so much thought into making this event special, with complimentary custom dog bandanas, custom dog tags, amazing vendors like Playa Bowls, adoptable pups, and some fun Ozzie Albies Foundation giveaways, including autographed items!

The good news: we are already working on a new date, and we’ll share it with you as soon as it’s confirmed.
