Happy Pride Month from Skyland Trail! ๐ŸŒˆ

According to Mental Health America, people who are LGBTQ+ are at a higher risk of experiencing mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and thoughts or attempts of su***de.

These disparities are largely connected to experiences of stigma, discrimination, and unequal access to support and care.

Check out these ways you can support a LGBTQ+ loved one's mental health this month and beyond.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the service members who lost their lives.

For many, holidays can bring grief, stress, loneliness, or difficult emotions. If you or someone you love needs support, mental health resources for veterans and their families are available.

Creativity and connection come together through horticultural therapy at Skyland Trail. ๐ŸŒฟ Clients created self-portraits using natural items collected from our gardens, encouraging them to slow down, stay present, and engage in the creative process. These designs foster connection to nature, beauty, community, and self while supporting emotional wellness and recovery. ๐Ÿ’š
