As periodical cicadas emerge, we'd like to remind our neighbors that while their presence may be alarming, Cicadas do not pose a threat to humans, pets, gardens or the long-term health of trees. 🌲

Can anyone help?????

Can anyone help?????

Hayyyyyy yall! We have an amazing couple that have offered to donate us all the hay we can cut and bale!! The only problem is, we don't have a way to cut or bale it! Do you know someone who would help us out? We would be happy to cover fuel costs and time! It isn't a huge lot, so it shouldn't take long at all! The field is in Fountain Inn SC. We can pick it up out of the field, just need it baled!!

If you know someone who may be able to help, please send them our way! If they don't have Facebook, they can text me at 864601277. We are a 501c3 so if they decide to donate their fuel and supplies, we will be happy to provide a tax deductible receipt!

Marigold (approx. 1 year)

I am not entirely sure where Marigold came from, but she is likely an abandoned pet ... sadly common in this neighborhood. Like every orange tabby I have ever met, Marigold is smart, resourceful, sweet, and good-natured. A determined soul, Marigold nicely made friends with the rest of the clan and found herself a welcome place at the dinner table. (Marigold is keeping wee ones across the street – she and her babies will soon be available for adoption through the Anderson County Humane Society.)

Dorian Gray (ageless)

Like his namesake from the great Oscar Wilde novel, Dorian is a mystery, an enigma. When he first arrived on the scene, Dorian scared the heck out of me, as he would simply materialize from out of nowhere. Then, in a blink of an eye, he would simply vanish into thin air. It was genuinely spooky, until Dorian became comfortable with his surroundings. Now, I find him waiting for me on top of my car every morning, and he gets jealous when he doesn’t get the lion’s share of the loves. He still maintains an imposing figure, but we both know he’s just a cuddle-bug at heart! (Dorian is available to a good home at any time.)
