TBA Project #6!!! Beautiful spring day for the unveiling of The Threaded sculpture and the North Main Commons Plaza. Scott Foster, the artist, did an outstanding job on every detail of the fountain. Thank you to the City of Anderson for the support and collaboration on this project.

TBA’s Fifth Project: Textile Point (2019)

Right outside Earl Street Restaurant, you’ll find TBA’s Textile Point project. Unveiled on May 9th, 2019, the clock and park around the clock represents Anderson’s textile heritage. For example, the base of the clock includes bricks from nearby mill sites. This project was designed by Scott Foster and in collaboration with the City of Anderson, the Rotary Club of Anderson, and The South Carolina National Heritage Corridor.

Next time you’re downtown, take a turn down Earl Street, there’s no way you’ll miss seeing this beautiful clock.

TBA’s Fourth Project: The Dog Park (2017)

The Anderson County Dog Park is another one of TBA’s projects. Located on Fant Street, the 3-acre dog park is THE location for not only local dogs to meet and play but also for their owners to enjoy some outdoor time. Dr. Marshall Meadors, one of our current advisory board members and chairman for this project, is the creative genius behind the park and has ideas/plans to improve the dog park. You can see him pictured below cutting the ribbon to officially open the park in 2017.

Next time you want to get out of the house, take you and your pup to the dog park!

Address: 415 N. Fant Street

TBA’s Third Project: Caton Alley (2013)

Connecting East Benson street to Church Street Heritage Plaza, you’ll find an alley with an Italian Style fountain and landscaping. This alley is named after Caton’s shoes, a fixture that was downtown for decades. The beautification of this alley was TBA’s third project completed almost ten years ago.

Next time you're on your way to Restaurant 151 or The Bleckley from the courthouse square area, check out Caton Alley!

TBA’s Second Project: Carolina Wrens - A Birdseye View (2010)

You may have noticed tiny wren sculptures throughout downtown Anderson. There are actually 28 of them! These wrens and the sculpture of two children playing in a fountain is another one of TBA’s projects. The elements of this project were created by artist Zan Wells.

Next time you’re downtown, see how many wrens you can find!

Location: Corner of River and South Main Street

Welcome to the official page for To Be Announced (TBA) of Anderson. You may know us by our nickname, “To Beautify/Benefit Anderson.”

TBA was founded in 2007 by Cordes Seabrook. Cordes raised $116,000 in one year by personally soliciting 116 people to give $1,000 each. He used this money to create Generator Park, which you can find on the corner of S McDuffie and E Whitner Street (pictured below). This park was built to recognize one of the greatest success stories in the industrialization of the southern United States. Since the completion of Generator Park fifteen years ago, TBA has completed five more projects and has the sixth set to be unveiled in Spring 2022.

Stay tuned for more information about TBA’s past and upcoming projects!
