Anchorage International Rotary Club

Anchorage International Rotary Club Rotary is a Global Network of Community Volunteers. Anchorage International Rotary Club is based in Anchorage, Alaska. Swing by and join us!

We meet on Fridays at noon at the Coast Inn at Lake Hood. The Anchorage International Rotary Club (club 54, District 5010) was chartered in 1958 as the Spenard Rotary Club, the ninth Rotary club in Alaska. The club changed its name to Anchorage International Rotary Club during the 1982-1983 year. The club initially met at the Forest Park Country Club until its sale in 1966. From 1966 to 1968, the

club met at the Captain Cook Hotel. In 1968, the club moved to the new Gold Rush Hotel. In 1969, the Gold Rush Hotel caught fire, so the club moved back to the Captin Cook Hotel. The Gold Rush Hotel became home again for Anchorage International from 1972-1975. In 1975, the club moved to the Anchorage International Inn (now known as the Coast International Inn). The club meets for lunch every Friday at noon at the Coast International Inn

Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave everything in service to our nation. Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we enjoy every day, and their courage will never be forgotten.
Across Alaska, from small communities to our largest cities, Rotarians of District 5010 honor the legacy of those who served by continuing to live out “Service Above Self” in our communities and around the world.
This Memorial Day, may we reflect with gratitude, support military families, and remember the true cost of freedom.

This Memorial Day weekend, Rotary District 5010 honors the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
As we gather with family and friends across Alaska, may we never forget the heroes whose courage and dedication protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.

What happens when Rotary, amazing hosts, exchange students, incredible food, and family recipes from around the world come together? One unforgettable evening!

From charcuterie boards to homemade favorites, the fellowship was as full as our plates! Max from Czechia and Alex from Germany shared family recipes and gave us a taste of home from across the world. Food has a way of bringing people together — and tonight proved it.

A huge shoutout to Becky & Bruce for opening your home and supporting Youth Exchange. Nights like this are what Rotary is all about — friendship, culture, laughter, and creating memories that last a lifetime.

And a HUGE thank you to Anchorage Rotary for making experiences like this happen and for supporting Rotary Youth Exchange. These opportunities create connections, build understanding, and turn strangers into family.

Thank you, Becky, for sharing yummy ice cream with a great group of students. With support from Rotary District 5010, we have enjoyed our partnership with North Star Elementary School. Wishing all the students, teachers, and staff a wonderful summer.
