С Днём учителя! — Happy World Teachers’ Day! 🍎📚

Today, we celebrate and thank our incredible Russian Immersion Program teachers for the dedication, patience, creativity, and heart they bring to our classrooms every day.

The 2026 World Teachers’ Day theme, “Standing with teachers: 60 years of protecting the profession, advancing its status and shaping our futures,” marks 60 years since the 1966 UNESCO/ILO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers. This important anniversary reminds us that supporting teachers means supporting the future of our children and our communities.

Our teachers do so much more than teach a language. They open doors to another culture, nurture curiosity, build connections, and help our students see the world from a broader perspective. 🌎

To our Russian Immersion teachers: thank you for everything you do! Your work matters, your dedication is deeply appreciated, and the impact you have on our children will last far beyond the classroom.

💐 С Днём учителя! Спасибо вам за ваш труд, тепло и вдохновение!

A huge thank you to the amazing teachers at Turnagain Elementary for organizing the Running Club and helping our students get ready for the running events this September! 👟🌟

We are so grateful for the time, energy, and encouragement you’ve given our students. Your support helps children build confidence, stay active, challenge themselves, and—most importantly—have fun while being part of a team!

🍂 Fall Learning in Our Russian Immersion Classes

What better way to learn about осень — autumn than by stepping outside and experiencing the season firsthand? 🍂

Our students explored the signs of the changing season through active, hands-on learning. They ventured outdoors to observe the colorful leaves, collect autumn treasures, explore the woods, and notice how nature changes as summer gives way to fall. 🌲🍁

Along the way, students practiced Russian vocabulary related to осень, листья, деревья, цвета, природа and more — connecting language learning with real-world experiences.

From collecting leaves to exploring the forest, our students were learning with their eyes, hands, curiosity, and lots of excitement! ❤️

🍁 Учимся по-русски — исследуем мир вокруг нас!
