RDC is a statewide business association comprised of individuals and companies from Alaska’s oil and gas, mining, forest products, tourism and fisheries industries. RDC’s membership includes Alaska Native Corporations, local communities, organized labor, and industry support firms. RDC’s purpose is to encourage a strong, diversified private sector in Alaska and expand the state’s economic base through the responsible development of our natural resources.

The Alaska Chamber put on an incredible conference this week in Girdwood, Alaska. Attendees heard about the forward momentum of multiple sectors and projects across the state. A special thank you to candidates who joined to share their perspectives before the November elections. Connor Hajdukovich, RDC Executive Director, was able to represent the seafood industry on a panel with fellow industry leaders and Senator Dan S. Sullivan. Connor discussed ways in which the Senator has previously engaged with the Alaska seafood industry to remain competitive in global markets and what his plans going forward are for the industry.

RDC was pleased to be at the Alaska Travel Industry Association's conference this week in Fairbanks! The room was packed and the enthusiasm for the tourism industry was in full force, especially for Fairbanks' growing winter tourism industry and new event venues. It was also great to visit the new Fairbanks Auto and Aviation Museum, which hosted the conference reception and showcased an impressive collection of Alaska history while highlighting another exciting addition to the area's tourism offerings!

RDC was honored to attend and participate on the resources panel at the 2026 Southeast Conference Conference in Ketchikan, AK. RDC's membership stretches across Alaska, with each region demonstrating their own unique challenges and strengths. It was great to hear from industry leaders on new projects in the region and their focus on environmental stewardship and fostering community engagement.
