Marty's Place Senior Dog Sanctuary Marty’s Place Senior Dog Sanctuary offers senior dogs physical comfort, emotional care and enrichment. Marty’s Place Senior Dog Sanctuary, Inc.

is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of senior dogs and ensuring that older dogs whose owners can no longer care for them will have a loving home for life. At Marty’s Place, located in Upper Freehold Township, NJ, senior dogs – 7 years of age or older – receive physical comfort, emotional care and enrichment in a safe, loving and protected environment. Each dog has

ample living space, human and canine companionship, and access to physically and mentally stimulating activities suited to their age and abilities. Senior dogs come to us most often (but not only) because their owners:

- Relocate or enter a long-term care facility
- Develop medical problems or become physically disabled
- Experience financial challenges
- Pass away with provisions for their pets included in their estate plans

Once with us, dogs will either have a home for life at our sanctuary or with a new family when adoption is an option. Visitors are welcome, and scheduled by appointment only, Tuesday -Saturday. The sanctuary is closed on Sundays.

🌈Marty’s Place recently welcomed guests to our Summer Solstice Memorial Garden Remembrance Ceremony, a heartfelt gathering dedicated to honoring the memory of loved ones who have passed—both human and animal. Surrounded by the beauty and tranquility of the sanctuary’s Memorial Garden,🌷attendees reflected on cherished memories. The ceremony offered a meaningful opportunity for healing, remembrance, and connection, reminding all that love endures long after loss. 📣NEW RESIDENT ALERT!📣Bella, our sweet 12-year-old Bassett Hound,🐶came to us after both of her owners passed in a relatively short period of time. Additionally, she lived with her 4 litter mates and they too have all gone before her. Needless to say, Bella is tentative and sad. She is blind in one eye but navigates her area in the sanctuary very well. Our next steps for Bella include a trip to our veterinarian and finding some food that interests her, as she doesn’t have much of an appetite right now. Welcome to the Marty's Place family, Bella!🩷🐾

📣NEW RESIDENT ALERT!📣Pretty Girl, a sweet Doberman Pinscher, was living a difficult life with her owner in a homeless encampment.⛺️She came to Marty's Place when her owner became acutely ill and could no longer care for her. We estimate she is between 8-10 years old. Pretty Girl is very active but understandably anxious. We are confident that in a short amount of time she will excel at being our new house greeter, as she is very animated and loves being with people. Welcome to the Marty's Place family, Pretty Girl!🩷🐾
