"Empowered" isn't just a word—it looks like Emily painting her name on her new bicycle. 🖌️🚲

After saving regularly with the Umodzi Village Savings and Loan (VSL) group, Emily earned a payout to take control of her family's future. She immediately bought livestock, crop supplies for her garden, and reliable transportation.

VSL groups give local communities the tools, financial independence, and support needed to build lasting change from within.

Data drives real impact! Meet Chimwemwe Chiphe, our Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer for Villages in Partnership in Malawi.

Chimwemwe measures field data and evaluates outcomes to ensure our programs effectively lift rural communities out of extreme poverty. He’s currently building a comprehensive Household Tracking System to map digital profiles and track key indicators like health, income, and food security for individual families over time.

His work helps us deliver targeted, long-term support where it's needed most. Thank you, Chimwemwe, for your dedication, vision, and incredible hard work in empowering these communities! 💙🇲🇼

Access to clean handwashing facilities and safe toilets reduces preventable diseases drastically. Our new hygiene initiative is on a mission to bring an essential pair—a pit latrine and a handwashing station—to every household in need.

Thanks to incredible community support, this past year we successfully constructed:

✅ 205 pit latrines
✅ 108 handwashing stations
