🍕 **STRACCI PIZZA WANTS ITS TRAILER TO STAY PUT — FOR THREE MORE YEARS!**
Back in 2020, when the pandemic was turning the restaurant industry upside down, Stracci launched its Roman-style pizza operation from a converted 20-foot trailer on Hume Avenue. It was a clever way to serve freshly made pizza during a time when opening a restaurant was anything but business as usual.
Fast-forward to 2026, and Stracci has become a neighborhood favorite, known for its light, crispy Roman-style pizza, handmade cheese, and welcoming outdoor dining area.
But that trailer? It's still part of the story.
Now, Stracci Pizza at **106 Hume Avenue** is asking the City of Alexandria for permission to keep a temporary trailer on the property for **three additional years**.
Annalisa Cardarelli submitted the request, and the City is reviewing it as a minor amendment to the restaurant's existing special use permit.
And here's where the neighborhood comes in.

Alexandria residents have until Thursday, October 29, to weigh in on the request. Comments can be sent to City Planner Lanning Bl**er at [email protected].
The application is SUP2026-00048, and the extension has not yet been approved.
