As we close out the 2025–2026 season, our hearts are full of gratitude. 💙

Thank you to every student who showed up with courage, energy, and determination. Thank you to the parents and families who trusted and supported this journey. Thank you to our incredible mentor volunteers who gave their time, encouragement, and leadership to our youth. And thank you to the schools and community partners who believe that wellness, movement, mentorship, and connection matter for student success.

Because of all of you, Running 505 continues to grow as a community where kids are seen, supported, and empowered.

This work only happens because of community support. If you would like to help us continue providing free youth wellness and mentorship opportunities, donations can be made via PayPal:

Thank you for being part of another meaningful season. Here’s to the miles, the growth, the friendships, and the impact still ahead.

Community partnerships beyond our own organization are what make grassroots nonprofits like Running 505 so special. It’s the people, the connections, and the shared commitment to showing up for our community.

A huge thank you to our lead mentor, Nichole, for supporting today’s 5K with Special Olympics New Mexico by providing medic services and ensuring a safe, strong event for all.

This is what community looks like. 💛

This is more than a workout — it’s about inclusion, strength, and showing up for each other.
Special Olympics athletes train with purpose. Fitness helps build strength, coordination, confidence, and overall health, while also creating opportunities for connection and belonging.
Studies show that consistent fitness programming improves physical health, boosts confidence, and supports lifelong wellness for Special Olympics athletes.
This Saturday, we train together — athletes, community members, and supporters — because fitness is for EVERY body.
✨ All fitness levels welcome
✨ Come move, connect, and support an incredible community

Read This❗️Kids need to be moving more.
This isn’t opinion — it’s research.

Movement is directly connected to stronger mental health, better focus in school, improved confidence, and long-term physical wellness.

And let’s be clear:
Moving more does NOT just mean organized sports.

Sports aren’t for every kid — and that’s okay.

Moving more means:
• Walking and talking after dinner
• Playing outside
• Riding bikes
• Helping with yard work
• Dancing in the living room
• Hiking the foothills
• Active learning in school

ALL kids deserve daily movement — at school, at home, and on weekends.

When we move, we connect.
When we connect, our kids thrive.

Let’s show up for our youth.
Let’s model it.
Let’s move with them.
