Grace Church

What does it mean to be a church that truly lives on mission? Is the church simply a place where people come to worship, or is it a community of believers willing to go wherever God calls them to make Jesus known?

In this powerful message, Jackie Allen challenges us to move beyond a “come and see” mentality and embrace the call of Jesus to “go and make disciples.” Drawing from Acts 13, we discover how the early church at Antioch became a sending church, willingly releasing its people and resources to take the gospel to new places.

God isn't calling His church simply to gather people in. He is calling us to send disciples out—to reach communities, plant churches, share the gospel, and make Jesus known.

📖 Scripture: Acts 13:1–3

Grace Kids talked about why we can trust God this Sunday 💜

Sunday Recap for October 18th:
The story of Elijah and the widow, found in 1 Kings 17:1-16, taught Grace Kids PreK that we can trust God no matter what happens because God’s got it.  Grace Kids Elementary talked about when Jesus and His disciples were caught up in a wild storm. While His friends panic, Jesus takes a nap. But when they wake Him up, Jesus shows in a single instant that God is never asleep to our needs— and always in control.
This week, let's remember that God is in control, so I can trust Him.

*Love you and see you next Sunday *

What is the mission of the church? Are we more concerned with maintaining our comfort, preferences, and traditions—or with reaching people with the gospel of Jesus Christ?

In this message from 1 Corinthians 9:12–27, we explore what it means to fulfill the mission Jesus gave His church: to make disciples and reach people with the good news of the gospel.

The Apostle Paul understood that reaching people sometimes requires us to set aside our personal preferences, surrender our comforts, and meet people where they are. The message of the gospel never changes, but our approach must be willing to adapt so that we can remove unnecessary obstacles and help others encounter Christ.
