NextGen Week Fourteen!đź’š
This week, participants explored the many ways our natural resources shape our communities and everyday lives. The cohort worked alongside local artist Citlaly and her sister to learn the process of creating a community mural centered around sustainability. Through creativity and collaboration, participants explored how art can be used to express important messages about caring for our environment.
The week also took participants to Tres Hermanas Farm, where they learned how agriculture impacts our land, soil, and water. They continued these lessons through hands on cooking, using locally sourced ingredients to prepare traditional New Mexican style food while learning about the importance of supporting local farmers!
This weel was a reminder that sustainability can take many forms and that caring for our environment also means celebrating our culture, supporting our communities, and working together toward a healthier future! 🌎
