On Thursday, October 1, more than 220 people attended Partners in Preservation, MHLC's 2026 Fall Fundraiser, at River Stone Manor in Glenville. It was a joy to see so many supporters—including many who have been with MHLC since our humble start over 34 years ago.

During the program, we celebrated Anita Sanchez and George Steele, the event honorees; Cary and Mike Patak, recipients of the Dan Driscoll Volunteer Leadership Award; and, for their work with the Town of Bethlehem's Farms & Forest Program, David VanLuven, Lauren Axford, and Rob Leslie accepted the Saving Special Places Award.

The event was a huge success; in fact, our most successful to date, raising over $110,000 for conservation in the Capital Region! We are sincerely grateful to all our supporters, sponsors, and auction donors for making this event a night to remember!
