House Representatives Brittany Pettersen and Jason Crow are complicit in genocide and the illegal war in Iran - so we ruined their little panel at Demfest in Denver. Don't platform people who use our tax dollars to bomb civilians, and we won't disrupt! 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️Climate crisis and the military industrial complex are interconnected. These wars are financially beneficial to the fossil fuel industry, reporting record profits. And the climate impacts of the destruction in Palestine are massive.

While Petterson takes money from corporate PACs, including private equity companies like Blackrock, Crow claims to be against big dollar donors influencing our politics. Yet both take massive amounts of money from the Israeli lobby, and vote to support our colonial outpost's genocidal mission for a Greater Israel.

On June 3rd, these two voted Yea on the War Powers Resolution Act to prohibit federal funding for the war in Iran — great job kiddos! The problem is, they also voted Nay on restricting Israel's bombing campaign in Lebanon. We know Iran has repeatedly made Lebanon a redline in negotiations, so their previous Yea vote does little to end the illegal and immoral war in Iran, or hold Trump accountable for war crimes. It also doesn't undo the funding they've approved for Israel (while spewing "Israel has a right to defend itself" rhetoric, as they snipe, bomb, and starve children.)

The fact that their panel was focused on how to resist Trump's authoritarianism is laughable. But what's sad is that Colorado Democrats platformed them, and some Coloradans actually cared about what they had to say on the topic. We're glad we were able to inform them of these AIPAC-bought politicians hypocrisy!

Delaney Hall is a concentration camp in Newark, New Jersey. Just eleven miles from the most populous city in America, this grey barbed wire building holds 300 political prisoners without trial, in horrendous conditions. They are now on a hunger and labor strike, protesting their unlawful imprisonment and the horrendous facilities in the facility.

Outside Delaney Hall, brave activists are standing up against these human rights violations. We interviewed some of these activists about the conditions inside.

Climate justice, human rights, and the right to migration are all interconnected issues. The worsening global climate crisis is combining with an increase in global authoritarianism and wealth inequality to push a migration of people unlike anything the world has seen. It’s up to us to stand up against this authoritarianism before it’s too late.
