A pause, not a stop.

A hard moment doesn’t have to be the end of the story.

Stay through this moment. Tell somebody what’s happening. Let someone know help is needed.

If you are thinking about su***de or need immediate emotional support, call or text 988.

Be the text they’re glad they opened.

Not just, “You good?”

Try: “Checking on you. For real. How are you?”

Sometimes that second question opens the door to the conversation someone has been trying to have.

If immediate emotional support is needed, call or text 988.

SGSTARZ joined prevention professionals from across the region for the Regional Providers’ Meeting, creating space to connect, share updates, exchange ideas, and stay connected to the work happening throughout our communities.

Strong prevention work depends on strong partnerships, and we value every opportunity to stay connected with the people doing this work across Georgia.

This week, students at Clay County Middle School also took part in an important conversation in recognition of Su***de Prevention Month. 💙

Guest speaker Derrick Mike spoke with students about hope, asking for help, supporting one another, and speaking up when life feels heavy.

Creating space for these conversations helps remind young people that they do not have to navigate difficult moments alone and that help is available.

Thank you to Derrick Mike and Clay County Middle School for helping us continue conversations that matter.

If you or someone you know is struggling or thinking about su***de, call or text 988 for support.
