We are so grateful for the team at Webstaurant Store Distribution in Albany! 🩷 What started as an employee appreciation day turned into an incredible act of community generosity, with Jay Baugh Houston leading the charge to collect 2,984 diapers for local families. Nearly 50% of adolescent girls drop out of sports due to menstruation stigma or lack of access to period supplies. That is not a small thing. Sports build confidence, community, and opportunity. Period poverty quietly takes that away.

We are happy to welcome Lake Park Storage as our newest drop-off location in Albany. Bring your donations of diapers, baby supplies, and hygiene products to 2220 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707.

Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 6 PM and Saturday, 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. (not 4:30 pm)

Make them count.Baby Shane Southern Fried Chicken is hosting a lunch fundraiser supporting Helping Mamas Albany this Friday, May 15th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 1935 Dawson Rd, Albany, GA 31707. A percentage of all proceeds will come directly to us to help stock essentials for mothers and babies in our community.Good food, good cause. We hope to see you there.

1 in 4 teens can't afford period supplies. And in Tennessee and Georgia, those products are still taxed as a luxury item. Period poverty is real, and it affects people in our community every single day. That's why Helping Mamas distributes period supplies alongside diapers, formula, and other essentials to families who need them most.

This week is Period Poverty Awareness Week, and there are three ways you can help:
Drop off supplies at our warehouse.

Advocate by writing to your legislators urging their support in co-sponsoring menstrual equity legislation.

Every product donated helps someone in our community manage their period with dignity.

Today is National Tampon Day and we are in the middle of Period Poverty Awareness Week, so let us talk about it. 3 in 4 Americans agree that menstrual supplies should be as freely available as toilet paper and paper towels in public schools and universities. The support is there. The stigma is what is holding us back. At Helping Mamas, we believe that access to period products is not a privilege. It is a basic human need.
