The Iron Work Farm will hold its last “4th Sunday” open houses of the season at Jones Tavern (128 Main St., 1 to 3 p.m.) and the Jones-Faulkner Homestead (5 High St., 3 to 5 p.m.)
At Jones Tavern, visit the authentic taproom of one of Acton’s most important gathering places during the Revolutionary War. At the Faulkner Homestead, the oldest house in Acton, meet members of the Nashoba Valley Weavers’ Guild, and learn about the discoveries from the recent driveway excavations.
During the afternoon archaeologist Kimberley Connors will lead volunteers in a further examination of the large dirt pile from the Faulkner driveway construction. To take part in the dig, sign up at https://forms.gle/GvmDAWE9afDvoXD7A, or email Kimberley at [email protected].
