It was wonderful to provide a State House tour for Olivia Boyd and her friend Zoey yesterday! Olivia had won my State House tour and lunch silent auction item at the Acton Food Pantry Chef Challenge held at the beautiful Gibbet Hill Grill fundraiser in the spring, to support the Acton Food Pantry!

Thank you so much Senator Jamie Eldridge for securing this vital $190,000 funding for the Acton Food Pantry! This mobile food market truck will ensure that our seniors, families, and neighbors facing transportation barriers have direct access to fresh, healthy food right in our communities. Thank you again for your leadership and dedication!

Last week, the Senate debated the FY27 state budget before Memorial Day weekend. Over the next few days, I’ll be highlighting a few local earmarks I secured funding for in my district. One investment I was proud to advocate for is $190,000 for the Acton Food Pantry to help launch a mobile food market truck. The truck would bring fresh groceries directly into communities with limited transportation and food access, helping more seniors and families access healthy food closer to home!

A huge thank you to Alissa Nicol and the Acton Exchange for this wonderful coverage of Acton Food Pantry! We are so lucky to have such a supportive community and Select Board! And a big shout out and thanks to Citizens Energy Corporation for all the hard work last week. It was a pleasure hosting you!

The Acton Food Pantry (AFP, the Pantry) is now entering its third month of operations at the new location on Maple Street, adjacent to the South Acton Commuter Rail station. On Friday, April 10, I had the opportunity to visit during a volunteer shift with not one, but two, crews on duty. Private
