Isaac Davis Camporee

Isaac Davis Camporee Scout Historical Trail Camporee The Isaac Davis Trail is an official Boy Scout Historical Trail sponsored by the Scouters of the Isaac Davis Trail.

It is the same trail used by Captain Isaac Davis of the Acton Minutemen in their historic march to Concord where "the shot heard around the world" was fired.

We will NOT be having the Camporee this year, 2025
We are still looking for ways to continue this Camporee in the future. If you March the trail, you can email the chairperson at [email protected] for medals ahead of your planned hike.
For future hikes, each troop will need to contact the Park Rangers to get a permit to enter the Park( new federal rule!) The info for permits is found on the Minuteman national Park website.

This year the Acton Minutemen will march the trail on Good Friday April 18, 2025.
The Concord Parade takes place on April 19 with NO RE-ENACTMENT at the Bridge at approximately 830 am. They are anticipating at least 100,000 people to attend on Saturday. Roads near the Park will be closed on Friday night at 6 pm. They are not allowing overnight parking in those areas! They will not reopen the roads until Saturday later in the afternoon.

We regret to inform everyone that we will be canceling this year's event. Due to the recent rule changes in scouting we are unable to meet the needs and rules in place this year. We are continually working to be able to meet these needs and rules for all those safety and protection.

I would also like to personally thank the Acton Minutemen for their many years of support that they have given us. They have showed their support by marching with us and attending our event by giving the scouts the history of the flags. We look forward to many more years of continued cooperation.

Special thank you to the Acton and Concord Police Depts, Acton Water Dept, Acton Highway Dept, the Acton Minutemen, our Favorite Blacksmith-Phil Martin, Dylan Bourassa for all your help even though you were pre-empted and the Scouts from Sturbridge

We thank all the scouts for attending this year and being extremely understanding. We are always striving to do better and hope and plan to bring back our full program and more come next year.
