What if God has been closer than you think, and you’ve been too distracted to notice? 👀 Life gets messy. Plans fall apart, prayers seem unanswered, and sometimes faith feels more like a routine than a relationship. Maybe you’ve followed Jesus for years but lost that sense of wonder. Maybe you’ve walked away, or you’re not even sure what you believe anymore. As we wrap up Experiencing Life with Jesus with “Relentless Pursuit,” we’re reminded of two people in Luke 24 who were walking through disappointment, completely unaware that Jesus was right beside them. Just because you don’t recognize God at work doesn’t mean He’s absent. And no matter how far you’ve wandered, His love and grace haven’t stopped reaching for you.

So, what’s keeping you from seeing Him? Maybe it’s the constant notifications, endless scrolling, or a calendar so full there’s barely room to breathe. We’re quick to add another commitment but struggle to set boundaries and say no to make time for what matters most. What if we gave God the same attention we give our phones, schedules, and everything else competing for our time? This week, set some healthy boundaries. Put your phone down, say no to something that can wait, and make room to pray, open your Bible, or simply sit quietly with God. You don’t have to have everything figured out to take a step toward Jesus. He’s been pursuing you all along. Maybe it’s time to slow down and pay attention.

🙌 You’re invited to Night of Worship! In a world that is constantly pulling us in different directions, life can begin to feel like go, go, go. There’s always somewhere to be, something to accomplish, and something competing for our attention.

Tomorrow, Sunday, October 25, you’re invited to step away from the noise for an evening and simply pause, be still, and rest in the presence of God.

“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10

Join us at Highlands Fellowship Abingdon Campus for Night of Worship: Tune My Heart, a special evening to rejoice, refresh, and renew as we spend time in worship, prayer, and fellowship and turn our attention toward Jesus.

What excuses are you coming up with not to walk the road God has for you? Maybe if you're honest, it's because it's going to cost you something. Jesus never hid that part. Where are you picking a different road?
