IT’S GETTIN’ CLOSE TO PUMPKIN TIME!

You know it’s almost time for pumpkins when you see the tent goin’ up! And let me tell you, we had an AWESOME CREW show up today to make it happen!

Our “new-to-us” tent is a BIG one, and there’s no way we could’ve gotten it up without everyone pitching in! From rolling out the barrels and sorting through piles of poles to getting that cover on and lifting the whole thing into place, we got it DONE!

SO, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

To those who came on their lunch breaks, THANK YOU! To those who weren’t sure how much they could do but jumped in anyway, THANK YOU! Every helping hand made a difference, and all those little jobs added up to one BIG accomplishment!

This is what makes our church family so special. Everybody pitches in, everybody matters, and somehow we get BIG things done together!

Now that tent is up, and we’re one step closer to pumpkin season! Stay tuned, y’all… THE PUMPKINS ARE COMIN’!

What should we do when someone begins to wander from the truth?

In Lesson 18 of our Living Faith study through the book of James, we come to the final two verses of the letter, James 5:19–20. James closes not with a formal farewell, but with a burden for people who have drifted spiritually.

Living faith does not ignore the wanderer. It notices. It cares. It speaks the truth. And it seeks restoration with gentleness and grace.

In this verse-by-verse study, we will examine:

Why spiritual wandering is dangerous

How drifting often happens slowly and almost unnoticed

Why restoration is a responsibility of the church

The difference between correction that restores and correction that humiliates

Why truth and love must work together

What James means by “save a soul from death”

What it means to “cover a multitude of sins”

How the gospel shapes the way we restore those who have fallen

Why Jesus is the Shepherd who seeks and restores wandering sheep

James reminds us that restoration is not about winning an argument or proving someone wrong. It is about helping bring someone back to the truth.

Where do you turn first when life becomes difficult?

In Lesson 17 of our Living Faith study through the book of James, we come to James 5:13–18, where James shows us that genuine faith lives in dependence upon God.

Whether we are suffering, rejoicing, sick, struggling with sin, or carrying the burdens of others, James teaches us to turn toward God rather than away from Him.

In this verse-by-verse study, we will examine:

Why prayer should be our first response rather than our last resort
How believers should respond in both suffering and joy
What James means when he tells the sick to call for the elders of the church
The proper understanding of the “prayer of faith”
Why prayer for healing must remain submitted to the will of God
