The Age of Spiritual Noise | Sermon 2 | Anchored in Truth

We live in a world filled with endless opinions, competing messages, and spiritual confusion. In Sermon 2 of the Anchored in Truth series, we examine how believers can recognize God's voice amid the noise and why biblical discernment is more important than ever.

Drawing from God's Word, this message explores the dangers of deception, the necessity of sound doctrine, and the call for Christians to remain firmly anchored in the truth of Scripture rather than being carried away by the ever-changing voices of our culture.

No matter how loud the world becomes, God's truth remains clear, unchanging, and trustworthy.

In this message:
• Why we live in an age of spiritual noise
• The danger of listening to every voice except God's
• How discernment is developed through Scripture
• Why truth matters more than popularity or emotion
• How believers can stand firm in confusing times

Many people hear God's Word, but far fewer allow it to change the way they live.

In Lesson 7 of our Living Faith study through the book of James, we come to one of the most practical and challenging passages in the entire book. James teaches that genuine faith is not measured by what we know, but by how we respond to the truth God has revealed.

In this lesson, we will explore:

• What it means to be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath
• How sin hinders our ability to receive God's Word
• The danger of hearing truth without obeying it
• Why God's Word is like a mirror that reveals our true condition
• The blessing that comes from faithfully obeying Scripture

James reminds us that the goal of Bible study is not merely information—it is transformation. God's Word was not given simply to fill our minds, but to change our lives.

Who is Jesus really?

In a world filled with confusion, opinions, and competing voices, the most important question anyone will ever answer is the one Jesus asked His disciples: "Who do you say that I am?"

As we kick off our VBS week, Illumination Station, we turn to John 1:1-9 and shine the light on the true identity of Jesus Christ. In this powerful passage, John reveals that Jesus is far more than a teacher, prophet, or religious leader. He is:

• The Eternal God
• The Creator of All Things
• The Source of Life
• The Light That Overcomes Darkness
• The Light We Must Proclaim

Join us as we discover why knowing who Jesus is changes everything about life, salvation, and eternity.

Scripture: John 1:1-9 (NKJV)

Sermon Title: Shining the Light on Jesus

Main Theme: Before we can shine the light of Christ to others, we must first understand who Jesus truly is.

In a world filled with confusion, suffering, and temptation, it is easy to begin questioning the goodness of God. But James reminds believers of a powerful truth: God is not the source of evil—He is the source of every good and perfect gift.

In this study through James 1:16–18, we examine:

* The danger of spiritual deception
* The unchanging goodness of God
* Why God can always be trusted
* The gift of salvation through the Word of truth
* How trials should drive us closer to God, not away from Him

This message will encourage believers to anchor their hearts in the unchanging character of God, even in difficult seasons of life.

Join us live as we continue this verse-by-verse study through the book of James and discover what genuine faith looks like in everyday life.

If this study encourages you, be sure to like, subscribe, and share the stream with others.

James 1:17

Guard the Truth

As Paul brings his first letter to Timothy to a close, he leaves one final charge that is just as urgent today as it was in the first century: "Guard what has been entrusted to your trust."

In a world filled with spiritual confusion, false teaching, and competing voices, God has entrusted His church with something precious—the truth of the gospel. The church is not called to reinvent the truth, soften the truth, or adapt the truth to culture. We are called to faithfully guard it, proclaim it, and pass it on to the next generation.

Join us as we conclude our series through 1 Timothy, The Household of God, and discover why biblical truth is a sacred trust that every believer is called to protect.
