❤️ Thank you, First Baptist Church of Buffalo Gap! ❤️

Taylor County EMS would like to give a BIG thank you to First Baptist Church in Buffalo Gap for inviting us out to teach an Adult & Child CPR and Choking class!

We truly appreciate everyone who took the time to learn these life-saving skills. When members of our community reach out to learn how to respond in an emergency, it can make a tremendous difference in outcomes when every second counts! 🫶🏼🚑

A special thank you as well for providing us with a delicious lunch! It was greatly appreciated! 🍽️❤️

We are thankful for the opportunity to work alongside our community and help give people the knowledge and confidence to potentially save a life.

🚑 A Big Thank You to Our Neighbors & Partners! 🚑

Yesterday was a busy day for Citizens EMS, with our crews responding to 8 calls in less than a 12-hour span, including a multiple-patient motor vehicle collision.

With our crews committed to multiple incidents, we were grateful to have our neighbors at Taylor County EMS step in and provide mutual aid coverage for our community. We also want to thank the volunteer fire departments and law enforcement officers who assisted our crews on scene, helping with patient care, traffic, scene safety, and everything else it takes to keep an incident moving safely.

In a rural area like ours, where resources and responding agencies can be spread across many miles, that teamwork matters. Days like yesterday are an important reminder that providing 24/7 emergency medical service isn't simply about the number of calls we respond to. Readiness means having the staffing, ambulances, equipment, and resources available when multiple emergencies happen at the same time.

As a nonprofit rural EMS service, we are incredibly thankful for the neighboring agencies, volunteer first responders, public safety partners, community members, and local entities whose support helps make that readiness possible.

Yesterday took a team, and we are grateful to everyone who stepped up when our communities needed it. 💙🚑🚒🚓🤝

🖤 **Honoring Deputy Bobby Votaw** 🖤

Taylor County EMS extends our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and fellow brothers and sisters in blue of **Deputy Bobby Votaw** following his passing.

Deputy Votaw dedicated his life to serving and protecting others, answering the call when his community needed him. His commitment to public service, his courage, and the impact he made on those around him will not be forgotten.

As first responders, we share a bond that goes beyond the uniform. We stand together in times of celebration, in times of crisis, and especially in times of loss. Today, we stand beside the Votaw family and our law enforcement family as we honor a life dedicated to service.

Rest easy, Deputy Votaw. Your watch is over. We’ll take it from here.

With deepest respect and gratitude,
**Taylor County EMS**

Last week we had the opportunity to participate in a mass casualty event at Dyess Airforce Base. It was great to be able to work alongside Abilene Fire Department, Dyess FD, and Metrocare during this training event.
