Our summer intern is officially clocking out! Tomorrow, Wyatt heads back to school, and we had to send him off with a BIG thank you! 💙

Wyatt has been hard at work around the office this summer. He has kept us entertained, made sure things ran smoothly, and helped out with all things United Way. Thank you, Wyatt, for all your help this summer! We’ve loved having you around the office, and we’re wishing you an AMAZING school year filled with lots of fun, learning, and maybe just a little less work than you had at United Way. 😂📚✏️

☀️ Monday mornings hit a little different when you’re kicking off the week with CAMPAIGNS! 🙌💙

Our United Way of Abilene team, Loaned Executives, and Partner Agencies were out and about this morning visiting ALL of the Abilene ISD campuses! 🎉 We had such a great time connecting with staff and teachers, sharing why United Way matters, and seeing the incredible generosity of our AISD family. Thank you AISD for welcoming us, listening to our message, and supporting United Way.

Yesterday, we kicked off our 2027 United Way of Abilene Campaign with the amazing team at First Financial Bank and our 2027 Campaign Chairs Ron & Lorlei Butler! 💙

We were excited to have our new President & CEO, Kamryn Cummings, share United Way's mission. It was a great opportunity to connect with employees and celebrate the impact we can make together across the Big Country.

A heartfelt thank you to First Financial Bank for your continued partnership and commitment to our community. Your support helps create lasting change for local families and reminds us all that each of us has the opportunity to Be the Good.

Join us in congratulating the team at Rentech Boiler Systems on 30 years of success!

Rentech, Jack Rentz, Mark Colman, and the entire organization have been longtime supporters of the work of United Way of Abilene – and for many years, have led our campaign as a Top 3 Company and Pacesetter.

Rentech was awarded the United Way Employee Giving Award in 2024, which is one of United Way’s highest honors in recognition of increased employee giving. In 2020, Jack Rentz was named Volunteer Service Award winner in recognition of his integrity and commitment to community. Congratulations on this incredible milestone! 🎉

Day 2 of our 2027 Loaned Executive (LE) Training! ☕💙

Our Loaned Executives had the opportunity to participate in Coffee & Conversation with Executive Directors from our United Way Partner Agencies. This gave them a firsthand look at the incredible work our partner agencies do, how United Way helps support their missions, and how they can become even more involved by serving on agency boards. Following those conversations, our LE team jumped into DRAFT and Campaign 101 training to prepare for a successful campaign season. Thank you to all of our United Way Partner Agencies who took the time to join us for Coffee & Conversation.

We also want to extend our sincere gratitude to our incredible 2027 Loaned Executives and the companies they represent. Thank you for investing your time, energy, and talents to help strengthen our community. Thank you to City of Abilene, Betty Hardwick, Batjer & Associates, Prosperity Bank, Coleman County State Bank, Wylie ISD, First Financial Wealth Management, First Financial Bank, Abilene ISD, Hendrick Health, and ACU for allowing your outstanding employees to join us during campaign season.

We have an exceptional group of Loaned Executives this year, and we can't wait to see all they accomplish as we work together toward reaching our 2027 United Way Campaign Goal!

Abilene ISD is hosting Early Childhood Program Sign-Ups at the Abilene Convention Center, today, July 23rd and tomorrow, July 24th! Bring your family to see if you qualify for one of Abilene ISD's early childhood programs.

While you're there, be sure to stop by and visit our own Shawna Parmelly, Community Impact Director, and sign your child up for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library!

📖 Children ages birth to 5 receive a FREE, age-appropriate book mailed directly to their home every month until their 5th birthday. Give your little one the gift of reading and a lifelong love of books. We can't wait to see you there! 💙📚

Today, our amazing Loaned Executives stepped out into the community to experience firsthand the impact of United Way of Abilene's partner agencies. Through these site visits, they gained a deeper understanding of the programs and services that are changing lives across the Big Country.
