Good day!

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery of St. Luke's Medical Center is pleased to invite your institution to participate in the 2026 Head and Neck Interhospital Grand Rounds (IHGR) on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Hosted in collaboration with the Academy for Head and Neck Oncology of the Philippines (AHNOP), the event will be conducted in a hybrid format, with onsite sessions at St. Luke's Medical Center – Global City and virtual participation via Zoom. Presenters are highly encouraged to present on-site.

We are inviting all ORL-HNS training institutions nationwide to submit interesting and educational head and neck cases for presentation on-site at the grand rounds to be held at SLMC - Global City. Selected cases will be discussed by a prestigious multidisciplinary panel of experts, providing an excellent opportunity for academic exchange and collaborative learning among residents, fellows, and consultants.

Know Your Neck: Don't Ignore Thyroid Changes

Your thyroid may be small, but changes in this gland can sometimes signal a condition that needs medical attention.

Be aware of changes such as:
🔹 A new lump or swelling in the neck
🔹 A lump that grows or persists
🔹 Difficulty swallowing
🔹 Difficulty breathing
🔹 Persistent hoarseness or voice changes
🔹 Swollen lymph nodes in the neck

Not every neck lump is cancer. But a persistent or growing lump should not be ignored.
If you notice an unusual change in your neck, consult a healthcare professional for proper evaluation.

Recovery Beyond Treatment: Rehabilitation in ENT Care

ENT care doesn't always end when the procedure or medical treatment is completed.

For some patients, rehabilitation is an important part of recovery.
It may help patients manage difficulties involving:
🗣️ Speech and voice
🥣 Swallowing
🫁 Breathing
👅 Head and neck function
💪 Recovery after surgery

Depending on the patient's condition, rehabilitation may involve a coordinated team of ENT specialists and other healthcare professionals.
Treatment addresses the condition. Rehabilitation helps patients regain function and improve quality of life.
