President Manuel A. Roxas Foundation The President Manuel A. For thirty one years beginning with his election as Governor of Capiz Province at age 27, Manuel A.

Roxas Foundation was organized in 1947 by friends of the late president to commemorate his life and contributions to the Philippine nation. Roxas served in various appointive and elective government positions culminating in his election to the presidency of the first Asian country to gain independence from colonial rule. President Roxas envisioned a country “where everybody had enough and nobody h

ad too little.” From the destruction of World War II, he led the new Republic and set in place the framework and government structure that the Philippines has today. His genius, eloquence and integrity made him an intellect of national stature and a leading statesman and economist of his era. The Foundation has been established to initiate programs and services to perpetuate the ideals and contributions of President Roxas. The Foundation plans to develop young leaders and inspire all citizens to share the late President’s dream of national excellence, freedom, and economic progress for all.
