Marilyn took part in the Children’s Consultation on the Philippines’ Reporting to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and the 5th Cycle of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), organized by Save the Children.

Through this consultation, Marilyn had the opportunity to speak up and share her experiences, concerns, and ideas on issues affecting children’s rights and well-being. She also raised the challenges faced by children in her community—reminding us that children’s voices matter and should be heard in shaping a safer, more inclusive, and child-friendly future. 💙

KalyExperience:

There's a huge difference between being on the ground, touching a child's life, and just reading about it in books or watching it on your phone. My experience with Childhope Philippines is something I will always treasure because they showed me that hope should never be taken away from children. I witnessed how dedicated they are to giving these kids everything they deserve—teaching them their rights, inspiring them to embrace childhood, and, most importantly, encouraging them to never give up on their dreams.

​I was so proud to be a part of their mission. I've always believed that every person on this Earth has a story to tell and that these stories have the power to inspire real change. I'm deeply grateful to Childhope Philippines for letting me experience this firsthand, and I will carry this journey with me forever.

It’s game time! 🙌

As part of the Thomson Reuters Sports Clinic Outreach Activity with Childhope Philippines, our young athletes put their newly learned skills into action through exciting games of Futsal and Basketball.

Beyond the competition, the activity gave our children an opportunity to practice teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and confidence while simply enjoying the game. 💙🧡

Thomson Reuters brought the spirit of sports and teamwork to Childhope Philippines through a Sports Clinic Outreach Activity for our children and youth beneficiaries. 💙🧡

During the activity, our young athletes had the opportunity to learn and play Futsal and Basketball, guided by coaches who encouraged them to build their skills, confidence, and teamwork.
