Silungan ng Pag-asa/Shelter of Hope A temporary shelter in Manila where cancer-afflicted children from faraway provinces can safely stay. PURPOSES:
1. To do counselling and to pray for them.

It was really heart- breaking specially when you see many children are close to death and they don't know until when they will stay in their sick beds, and saw the tears in their eyes. Because of poverty of the patients many of them did not able to pursue the treatment because they don’t have enough money to buy the medicine or to provide for the things needed for
the operation, so they were ask t

o leave the hospital for other patients to come in. Some were in a situation that they need to come back for their follow up check-ups, so others decided to stay outside the hospital to wait for the following day because of their financial problem. That's why the desire of the Temporary shelter House begun. A temporary shelter for patients from far flung provinces, and has no relatives in Metro Manila that can accommodate them.
2. A home where they can experience the love and care of God's family.
3. A place to rest while waiting for proper treatment.
4. A home where they can temporarily forget for a while their hurts and pains, and to live a normal life while in the halfway house.
5. For the poor who has no place to stay-in while having their check-ups.
6. To give tutorial to those who stop from their schooling due to their sickness.
8. Livelihood to their parents for them to have income for their basic needs. OBJECTIVES:
1. To ease the confused mind of the family about, where to live temporarily.
2. To bring them into the relationship with the Lord Jesus as their savior in life.
3. To encourage the family and give hope while looking for a donor to support their needs for medicines and operation.
4. To help the poor and less fortunate sick children.
5. To show the love of God inspite of their hopeless and extreme situation.
6. To prevent “abandonment of treatment”(Patient discontinue the treatment). DESIRED IMPACT AND OUTCOME OF THE HOUSE PROJECT

1. The home that they experience the love of Jesus through the help that we give.
2. The home that they can feel comfort and no worry where they can temporary live.
3. They feel and experience that they’re not alone and someone care for them.
4. Lighten their heavy burden through prayer and counselling.
5. We can easily bring them through Christ through this house and teach them the word of God.
6. Through this house we can teach them livelihood for their income when they go back to their hometown.
7. Through this house we can help many sick and less fortunate families. And specially the families of the children with cancer.
