Ito na talaga ang hinihintay ninyong lahat, Villamorians! 🔥 Officially nang binubuksan ng Villamor Banhaw Dance Troupe ang doors nito para sa mga bagong aspiring dancers!

Another proud milestone for the Villamor Banhaw Dance Troupe as our very own Mary Jane Yap and Artistic Director MC Clarence Jacobe represented Filipino culture during the Cultural Tour in London, United Kingdom, and Brussels, Belgium.

Our heartfelt gratitude to the Philippine Barangay Folk Dance Troupe for the trust and opportunity to once again showcase the beauty of our heritage on the international stage. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Lahing Kayumanggi Folk Dance Troupe for your invaluable support and for continuously helping preserve and promote the richness of Filipino culture.

A moment worth sharing with hearts full of gratitude! 🇵🇭✨

The Villamor Banhaw Dance Troupe would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the Philippine Barangay Folk Dance Troupe for the amazing opportunity given to one of our members —Patricia Narboneta to join a meaningful Cultural Tour in Papua New Guinea. This experience goes beyond performance—it is a beautiful exchange of culture, friendship, and unity across nations.

Alam n'yo ba?

Marami ang nag-aakalang ang castanets ay isang katutubong instrumentong Pilipino dahil madalas natin itong nakikita sa mga tradisyunal na sayaw. Ngunit ang totoo, ang instrumentong ito ay nagmula sa Espanya at dinala sa Pilipinas noong panahon ng pananakop ng mga Espanyol.

Ginagamit ang castanets upang magbigay ng masigla at malinaw na ritmo na lalong nagpapaganda sa galaw ng mga mananayaw. Isa itong patunay kung paano nahubog ang ating mga tradisyon sa pamamagitan ng iba't ibang impluwensiya mula sa kasaysayan.

Bagama't hindi ito orihinal na instrumentong Pilipino, mahalagang bahagi na rin ito ng ilang pagtatanghal at sayaw na nagpapakita ng mayamang pamana ng ating bansa.

🇵🇭 Patuloy nating tuklasin at ipagmalaki ang mga instrumentong naging bahagi ng ating kultura at ang mga katutubong instrumentong tunay na sumasalamin sa pagkakakilanlan ng mga Pilipino.

With every beat, it brings life to the melodies of our ancestors, preserving stories, values, and identities that continue to inspire us today.

Its rhythmic sound creates harmony among musicians and reminds us of the beauty of unity, discipline, and teamwork. As the rhythm echoes through the air, it connects the past with the present, allowing us to celebrate and appreciate the culture that shapes who we are.
