Last April 28, the UST Faculty of Canon Law had its Canon Law Hour at the Martyrs Hall, featuring Rev. Fr. Jose Junar N. Dela Victoria, JCD, of the Diocese of Davao and a former professor of the Faculty.

The session, titled “Mitis Iudex: 10 Years After,” served as a venue for reflection on the developments in the Church’s approach to marriage nullity cases a decade after the promulgation of Mitis Iudex Dominus Iesus. Fr. Dela Victoria revisited key reforms, highlighted their pastoral and juridical implications, and discussed how these changes continue to shape the work of canon lawyers and Church tribunals today.

A morning marked by insight, collaboration, and a renewed appreciation for the role of canon law in the life of the Church.
