✨ Check this stunning video out! ✨

This year's Newtown Festival was all about weaving our hopes together. 🌈

We asked our incredible Newtown community: What are your hopes for Omārōrō - Newtown?

Then we stitched those hopes into a giant community lei - each flower carrying a hope for the future. AND we filmed this beautiful process too! 💅🏾

Huge mihi to Mahana (our magic movie maker!), our amazing Home Ground whānau, artists and volunteers, Te Toi Mahana and every single person who stopped to share their whakaaro. 🫶🏾

You told us you wanted a community grounded in diversity and inclusion, kindness, affordable living, connection, and aroha. 🥰

One person said it best: "We need people who lead with love." ❤️

In times when it's easy to lose hope, Newtown reminds us that hope is something we create together!

Last chance! You have until 11.59pm Thursday 2 July to make a submission to Parliament on the proposed Move On Orders legislation. ✊🏾

We're opposing this law because homelessness is not a crime. Read more on why we don't support the Move On Orders 💓

Your submission doesn't have to be long. Even a few sentences sharing why you support housing, dignity and community over displacement can make a difference! 🫶🏾

Need some help? Check out this submission guide from DCM. 🙌🏾
