r property, please don't attempt to trap them over the weekend or on public holidays as the vet clinics are closed and we need to organise foster homes before kittens/cats are rescued.

UP FOR ADOPTION: MARIE 🤩

Marie [Purrie (yes, like the scientist… but fluffier)] is a gorgeous kitten born approx Jan 12th, 2026 who was found at Red Bridge and is now looking for a home where she can be properly adored — which, honestly, she was clearly born for.

With her beautiful markings, curious little face, and extremely advanced expertise in string-mouse physics, Marie is equal parts scientist, shadow, and cuddle bug.

She follows her humans around like a tiny duckling, loves sleeping curled up next to you in bed, and is a champion snuggler 🩷 She’s affectionate without being demanding and firmly believes that all activities should involve her supervision.

She’s also playful, clever, and full of character. She'll launch into zoomies or intense scientific experiments involving toys. Her favourite research field is “mouse on a string dynamics”, a discipline in which she shows exceptional talent.

She’s a smart cookie and would honestly probably love learning tricks or games with someone who wanted to spend the time with her.

💬 Marie also enjoys having little chats and will happily tell you all about her day. She’s just the sweetest wee thing and would make an incredibly lovely companion.

She is fine with children. Marie hasn't been with other pets so hard to say how she would adjust in a multi-pet household.

Springs is a gorgeous tabby born January of this year!

She is currently living with 2 adult cats, a 10 week old kitten and a dog, so is fine with other pets. Springs is cautious but confident and curious.

A human hungry kitty, and so lovable! 🥰

Over the weekend, we hosted another successful bake sale at Wanaka Wastebusters - and it was all because of you!

To those of you who made magic in your kitchens and brought us the goods, and to those of you who showed up to purchase and eat the goods... seriously, thanks a bunch 😻

A special shoutout and thank you to White Rabbit Cakes NZ who donated some beautiful & professional cupcakes for us to sell 🧁

We also couldn't have done it without the lovely people who volunteered at the stall. We appreciate you 👏

UP FOR ADOPTION: ENOKA AKA SCRATCHY 😽

Enoka is a tabby boy who came into foster care as a shy little guy, however, from day one he was a purring machine. After a few days it was obvious he wasn’t just affectionate, but a professional lap cat. Family, neighbours, visitors… if someone sits down, Enoka somehow appears on their lap wanting cuddles and pats.

He also ended up becoming best friends with the resident dog Patchy, which is how he ended up being renamed Scratchy!

At first we thought there was no way this sweet little cuddle bug would have any cat instincts, but it turns out he surprised us and definitely still has his inner pest controller intact 🪳

Scratchy currently lives in a home with a dog and does really well around people and kids. He loves company, food, cuddles, and just being around humans. He can still get a little unsure with sudden new noises, so a home where he has a quiet spot to retreat to would be ideal.

He is affectionate, food motivated, social, and genuinely one of the sweetest cats - whoever adopts Scratchy is going to be a very lucky family! 💛

✨ Taking a shift at the stall selling the baked goods

😻🐾🏡 Ever thought of fostering kittens?

The great thing about being a foster parent is that you get to spend time with cats & kittens without the long-term commitment. Even if you're only in Wanaka for a short time, as long as the homeowner allows it, you can foster with us.

Fostering is a fulfilling role that ensures our rescue kitties get the care and love they deserve whilst waiting for their forever homes🫶 You'll be rewarded by cuddles, kisses and meows, no doubt.

Although we have many amazing foster parents already helping out, it's nice to give them a break every now and then.

TAZ & TIGGY 🐯🧡

Taz and Tiggy are two of the loveliest boy kittens looking for their forever home. Can be adopted together or separately.

Both have a similar personality, snuggly and gentle, and would fit into just about any home. The foster parents have had visitors through and Taz and Tiggy weren't fazed at all.

While they sometimes get carried away at play time and play rough, running around and chasing each other, they are also just as content settling down for a snooze together. Taz & Tiggy often follow the humans around and are grateful of the company 🥰
