Showtime is near for those lucky humans to get some tickets, come mingle and enjoy some epic food and drinks, with some speciality cocktails by Cinema Paradiso.

Bars open from 9pm, come and mingle in your epic costumes! Please be seated by 10pm sharp, so the time warp can begin!

We can’t say it enough...Our volunteers are simply the best in the world. 🌏💜

A massive thank you to each and every one of you who joined us for Wānaka Pride Week. From transforming the Lake Wānaka Centre, cooking up a storm on the sausage sizzle, painting signs, washing dishes, setting up and packing down, baking cakes, running raffles and keeping things flowing – you made the magic happen.

Wānaka Pride Week wouldn’t be possible without your aroha, creativity and mahi. We’re beyond grateful. 🌈 (Next year, we 100% need to coordinate a group photo during the Pride Street Party!)

At the end of Pride Week, our Wānaka Pride sign, created for the inaugural Wānaka Pride Week back in 2023 by our epic volunteers, was sadly destroyed and dumped in Bullock Creek. We also heard of a couple of homophobic comments in town on Saturday night, but luckily other community members stepped in.

It’s not nice to see things like this happen, but what really stands out is how much aroha and support we felt throughout the week. Thank you to everyone who helped make Pride a safe and special space for our community to come together and celebrate.

We’ll be rebuilding the sign, ready to stand proud again next year. 🌈
