🎉 Celebrating 10 years of The Hub Te Puke! 🎉
A decade ago, two Te Puke locals Judy Abrahams and Sue Wilks sat down over coffee and asked a simple question: what is our community missing?
That conversation sparked something extraordinary. What began as a concern for homeless people in our community grew into wraparound support services, a food bank, and a Hub that's been there for thousands of Te Puke locals ever since. 💛
As Sue reflects: "One of the things that really struck me was the way the community just kept turning up, providing, connecting."
From a local landowner offering a building for three months, to churches, businesses, and everyday locals stepping up with donations, food, and equipment. Te Puke has shown time and again what's possible when a community chooses to work together instead of compete.
To mark this milestone, we've also launched It Takes a Town, a new book capturing this incredible journey, so the story of how we got here is never lost. 📖
