Sam's Skate School is a skateboard coaching social enterprise operating in Tauranga and its suburbs. We run FREE skateboarding classes every Friday afternoon

Sam's Skate School is a local non-profit organisation operating in Tauranga and the surrounding suburbs. Our aim is to provide skateboard tuition to young people in Aotearoa who might not have the opportunity to get into the sport due to socio-economic circumstance. So we offer FREE after school and school-holiday skateboarding lessons to local tamariki. Sessions run every Wednesday after school d

uring term time at different skate parks across the city. Sessions run from 4-5pm in winter, and 4-6pm in summer. We also run sessions during the school holidays. All sessions are completely FREE! We are very proud to have been featured in the New Zealand Herald Local Focus:

Skateboarding is an excellent sport for young people to get into, it teaches the core life values of perseverance, determination and courage as well as providing physical exercise and improving core strength, cardio-vascular fitness and balance. Sam's Skate School was founded to provide skateboard tuition to young people who want to learn this progressive and fast evolving sport. Skateboarding is now one of the most popular sports for young people in the world, as demonstrated by its recent inclusion in the Olympic Games. Follow us on Instagram

🎉 Gonna be a big week for Skateboarding in Aotearoa!

📍 I will be running the free session on the Welcome Bay ramp this afternoon at 3:30!

⚠️ There will be no Pāpāmoa session this Friday as it is Skateboarding Park and Vert Nationals at the Mount Skatepark this weekend and I will be helping facilitate!

📍 I will be working with some of the other SBNZ team to run a free skate workshop at the Mount park from 10-11 on Sunday morning!
