- Cyclone Vaianu -

Cyclone Vaianu is tracking towards our region, with impacts expected this Sunday (12 April). We’re likely to see strong winds, heavy rain, and possible coastal flooding, with warnings expected to intensify.

Now’s the time to get prepared:
✔️ Secure or bring in outdoor items
✔️ Clear drains and gutters
✔️ Stock up on essentials and avoid travel on Sunday

For safety, many council facilities, parks, and Bay Venues sites will be closed from Saturday afternoon through to Monday.

Please stay alert; flooding and slips are possible, and coastal conditions will be dangerous. If water levels rise, move to higher ground and avoid floodwaters.
