Our local **Matamata Community Foodbank** has been busy supporting our community, helping **40 families in August** — providing food for **46 adults and 82 children**. That’s a lot of tummies to fill. 🥲

Exciting news from Matamata Foodbank — we’re moving to our new home! ❤️

From Monday 24th August, we will be operating from our new location:

👉 Right next to Starfish

Our current location at 9 Tui Street will no longer be our operating address from Monday.

We’re so excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to welcome you into our new space!

The Matamata Foodbank was delighted to be the recipient of $400 from our Community Support Programme* with ! The Foodbank provides free food parcels to people in need within our community.

The foodbank urgently needs toothpaste, toilet paper, pasta, rice and noodles. If you can help support this worthy cause, drop off your donations directly to the Foodbank during their opening hours (Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 11am or 12noon).

💚 When our community needs help, Matamata always shows up.

The numbers tell a powerful story. In June 2025, our local Foodbank received **28 referrals**. This June, that number jumped to **49 referrals**, supporting **55 adults and 59 children** in our community.

Right now, the Foodbank is especially in need of:
🧴 Shampoo & conditioner
🧈 Margarine
🍝 Pasta
🍜 5-pack noodles
🥣 Cereals

If you're able to add just one extra item to your trolley this week, it could make a real difference to a local family.

You can drop your donations into our **big red Foodbank collection box** near the checkouts at New World Matamata, or deliver them directly to the **Matamata Foodbank on Tui Street**.

Together, we can help fill empty pantries and show what makes our community so special. Every donation, big or small, helps. ❤️
